14 June 2025 – Hong Kong. The Jockey Club Spark & Spot Project marked a significant milestone with a Professional Development celebration, bringing together more than 85 kindergarten teachers, principals, management staff, and guests from 21 participating schools.
Project leads Dr Rohnii Tse and Ms Nancy Ting opened the event by highlighting key learnings from the year—advancing inclusive practices through professional development and environmental enrichment—setting a reflective and inspiring tone for the day ahead.

Representatives from the four School Sponsoring Bodies—Caritas Hong Kong, Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association, Hong Kong Christian Service, and The Salvation Army Hong Kong—shared compelling insights from their schools. They presented visible environmental transformations and meaningful shifts in teacher attitudes towards inclusion, brought to life through photos and videos documenting their journeys throughout the year.
A teacher panel, skilfully moderated by project coach Ms Winne Yeung, fostered rich reflective dialogue on real classroom experiences and challenges. This candid exchange helped educators consolidate their personal practices and deepen their understanding of inclusive education in action.

Participants then explored an engaging interactive gallery featuring large foamboard displays from each of the 21 schools. Each board traced individual learning processes and showcased impressive transformations in classroom settings and outdoor play spaces. QR codes on the displays linked to short, school-produced videos where teachers and principals discussed their learning experiences and implementation strategies, adding authentic voices to the visual narratives.

The event concluded with a certificate presentation recognising all educators who successfully completed the Professional Development Programme. Coordinators from each School Sponsoring Body accepted certificates on behalf of their schools, bringing the day of collaboration and growth to a meaningful close.
Special thanks to Tai Kok Tsui Catholic Primary School for graciously hosting this milestone celebration. Their generous support in providing the venue and facilities made it possible to bring together the entire cohort for this important day of shared learning and recognition.
As the project moves forward, the celebration reaffirmed the collective commitment to empowering diversity and enriching young children's learning experiences—encouraging educators to continue refining their inclusive practice with confidence and purpose.
