The Jockey Club 'Spark & Spot' Project's Community of Practice (CoP) Platform is an online learning portal for participating kindergarten teachers to facilitate their Professional Development learning.
The CoP Platform aims to create learning environments that encourages participation in a learning community and the creation of new knowledge by using creativity and potential for innovation. The CoP Platform is based on the premise, that we learn best from people who are different from us but are involved in the same activities and share interests or try to solve similar problems.
The Platform is utilised to facilitate instant online and offline exchanges between kindergarten teachers across all participating schools, instructors and coaches. Coaches facilitate knowledge and experience sharing, promote good practices of knowledge and expertise others can benefit from. CoP members are also encouraged to share and explain their success or areas to improve with the community, regarding their classroom and the school settings. Members can share their wonders of the environment and teaching practices based on the school context to provide urgent, good teaching practices in inclusion for early years.
The Community of Practice (CoP) Platform provides valuable resource for all participants, offering opportunities for learning, collaboration, and support, and helping to improve the quality of education and support for young children!
