On June 4, 2024, we proudly hosted the Cohort 2 Tea Reception of the Jockey Club Spark & Spot Project at Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education. This vibrant event welcomed over 70 attendees from 31 schools, including 15 Open Admission schools and 16 from our four partnering school sponsoring bodies (Caritas Hong Kong, Hong Kong Christian Service, Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association, and The Salvation Army), creating a fantastic afternoon filled with connection and inspiration.
It was a great opportunity for Cohort 2 schools to gain valuable insights from the experiences and learnings of Cohort 1. Attendees also engaged in a creative activity that sparked their imaginations, drawing and writing on vibrant "spark" cards shaped like the Project's logo. This delightful exercise encouraged everyone to reflect and share their thoughts on what every child needs to truly thrive, transforming ideas into colourful expressions of hope and inspiration.
In addition to engaging conversations, guests had the opportunity to explore the College's Pamela Peck Discovery Space (PPDS), immersing themselves in a world of creative learning and discovery.
We hope everyone left feeling inspired and connected! Together, let's continue to foster collaboration in our educational community.
